Every Cliché

about

This sound movie has a narrative running through it but everybody sees a different story.

For me it is the story of a teenager in the Midwest of America who loves his car and the freedom it brings him. He later in life becomes a pilot.

The child crying is the second coming of Christ who is killed as an infant in an aerial attack on a small Mediterranean island where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are staying. The attack is manufactured by a right wing American secret-cabal splinter group that uses the pilot to carry out their mission under false pretences. The pilot suffers flashbacks and is slowly going insane over his involvement in the exercise but is killed in a car accident after attending his own daughter’s funeral years later. It all ends with an incredibly long and slow pretentious pan out in the rain that recedes all the way out into space before zooming all the way back to a London Underground train where a young barrister on his way to court is reading an old headline entitled “The Killing Of The Innocents”

But hey hey, every cliché….
