Looking at previous albums, 9 Lazy 9 has gradually evolved from chilled, stoney sounds with Serpentine taking a more layered psychedelic angle. Every track is tight and creates a fantastic arc for the length of the album. "All Gone" has the listener bathing in swirling chords and later "Kodo" comes in with audacious swagger. Do yourself a favor and listen to this album with good headphones and a favorite entheogen, it is time well spent. eric
